Have you been to a Pittsburgh Renaissance Hotel Wedding? It is positively stunning and I was lucky enough to photograph Crystal and David here for their very special day.
When my husband and I planned our wedding, it took us almost a year. But these beautiful and extremely busy people did it in a month. Just one month to plan an exquisite wedding!
And absolutely nothing lacked.
Crystal wore a beautiful wedding dress and had a perfect ceremony at Christ Episcopal Church, complete with two adorable flower girls. The girls wore dresses I considered for our flower girl, so I of course loved them. David’s father gave a great speech at the reception, with a wedding cake to die for. And the couple danced the night away happy, in love, and newly married!
How did they create this gorgeous wedding at the Renaissance Hotel, complete with cocktail hour and a cookie table?
Honestly, I wish I knew! I would tell all my brides all their secrets! Instead I can just tell you about their day. Crystal and David are both busy people in the medical field. But, overjoyed to get married. This lack of time, but immense love is what led to their planning quickly. And, it was the only time they could fit it in between work and studying.
They each got ready at different rooms in the church, and boy did it pay off. David’s face when he first saw his bride walk down the aisle is what every girl dreams of! He cried happy tears at the sight of his soon-to-be-wife walking towards him.
Throughout the ceremony the couple stole glances at each other that made my heart sing.
With each look, you saw how happily in love they were with each other. Because of that, I took as many photos of these moments as I could, from every angle.
After saying “I do” and walking down the aisle they spent time with each guest before getting family photos. David literally swept Crystal off her feet before leaving for the reception.
The Renaissance Hotel left nothing to want for their wedding day
It was perfect, with a nice space for horderves, a room with windows overlooking the river for the reception, and of course that gorgeous staircase for photos.
Twirling dresses filled the dance floor as the flower girls kept the party going!
The DJ played all of the best hits and even made me want to party. Cards filled their card box and the cake cut and served. But I can’t write about the night without a mention to the Brides shoes!
But really, who knew a Bride’s shoes could be such an important part of the day?
Not only were they beautiful, but they made Crystal so happy and proud to wear them. She talked about them while she put her veil on to get ready for the day. I took special time getting a few photos of her bridal shoes and wedding rings throughout the Renaissance Hotel to make sure she had the perfect memory of them.
Once again, I cannot express the joy I had working with these two and can only hope to work with them again in the future!
My clients fill me with joy. Not just Crystal and David, but each and every one! I would love to be your photographer throughout your journey of becoming a bride and a mother. Please, if you are engaged or pregnant, contact me now so I can give you the same joy you give me!
