Show the strong arms of Dad, embracing his sweet baby girl. Protecting her. Telling me, in a photograph, that he won't let anything bad happen to her... ever. This is one of my favorite images to reproduce with parents.

Sometimes a fun pose changes the whole session. We all want to the kids to sit and smile but the reality is, toddlers don't want to do that!

So instead, let's play. Let the kids run, jump, laugh, snack, whatever it is that makes them happy and let's create a new memory not just a good picture.

This is how I like to go into my milestone sessions. I want your kid to feel comfortable and safe with me. I want her to laugh at my jokes and giggle when I tease them that I'll come and tickle them!
